Varicella Zoster Virus
Virus is dormant in dorsal root ganglion (sensory neurons)
Weakening of immune system (aging, stress, immunocompromised) causes emergence of VZV from dormancy
Symptoms: painful rash (chickenpox-like) in one defined area (dermatome) of the skin
Treatments: acyclovir
