Colorado tick fever is thought to be one of the most common tick-borne viral infection in the US. , causing fever, headache, and muscle pain.

• Microscopy: naked dsRNA virus; icosahedral double capsid
• Symptoms: fever, headache, severe myalgia
• Transmission: ticks (vector)
• Complications: hypotension, encephalitis, meningitis
• Pathogenesis: infection of RBC precursos in bone marrow, vascular endothelium
• Treatment: supportive
