Colorado tick fever is thought to be one of the most common
tick-borne viral infection in the US. , causing fever, headache, and muscle pain.

- Microscopy: naked dsRNA virus; icosahedral double capsid
- Symptoms: fever, headache, severe myalgia
- Transmission: ticks (vector)
- Complications: hypotension, encephalitis, meningitis
- Pathogenesis: infection of RBC precursos in bone marrow, vascular
endothelium
- Treatment: supportive
