Introduction.
Phaeohyphomycosis can be caused by many different pigmented (dematiacious)
fungi.

- Cause: dematiacious fungi
- Microscopy: hyphae
- Symptoms: single or multiple cysts
- Transmission: Direct
- Complications: in joints, can hinder motion
- Pathogenesis: trauma inoculation of tissue and growth of hyphae
- Treatment: surgery; some azole drugs
