Cytomegalovirus Disease

Cytomegalovirus inclusion disease is an infection by cytomegalovirus (CMV). The hallmark of these infections are cells that enlarge and have a basophilic nuclear inclusion body. CMV infections cause no symptoms or mono-like symptoms in adults and serious congenital infections in newborns.
