Ehrlichiosis

Introduction. 

Ehrlichiosis is caused by the intracellular parasite Ehrlichia (4 species). It is a disease of animals and humans, with an animals reservoir (zoonosis). Transmission occurs through vecotrs (ticks) or ingesting raw fish infested with Ehrlichia.
