Aquifex

What you should know:

Aquifex are Gram-negative rod-shaped thermophilic bacteria. They are chemolithotrophic autotrophs that feed on hydrogen sulfide or hydrogen gas. Their unusual membrane structure and preferred environment resemble those of the archaea.
