Caulobacter

What you should know:

Caulobacter is a Gram-negative appendaged bacterium with an unusual life cycle. It lives in aquatic habitats and reproduces when one cell attaches itself to a surface and divides (by fission), producing a motile (flagellated) swarmer cell.
