Thermoplasma  

What you should know:

Thermoplasmas are cell wall-less thermophilic archaea. Due to the lack of a cell wall, they are usually pleomorphic. Their cell walls consist of monolayers made of tetraether hydrocarbons. Thermoplasmas thrive at a pH of 2 and temperatures above 50C. They are heterotrophic and reduce S to H2S in anaerobic respiration.
