Oscillatoria  

What you should know:

Oscillatoria are, like Nostoc, members of the cyanobacteria. As such, they are Gram-negative, photoautotrophic, and oxygenic. Oscillatoria do not have heterocysts, but do form long filaments with an unusual form of motility: gliding. Oscillatoria can reproduce by fragmentation.
